| Interesting two-piece, almost heart-shaped mother of pearl belt buckle, Art Nouveau. The two buckle sections are mother-of-pearl with scalloped, carved edge. The silver filigree lady is sterling. The silver filigree is hand-done and very good work. Both silver buckle pieces on the back of the buckle sections are marked sterling. The mother-of-pearl sections are 1-3/4 inches by 1-9/16 inches (at the widest portion of the heart). These are in very good condition. One buckle portion (the piece without the lady) is bent a little from use. There are no chips or scratches. The mark on the back is a hairline crack but it does not go through to the front and does not affect the stability of the piece. |
