Four inch ruby lay-down, double scent bottle; eight-sided; with brass tops. These were popular accessories of Victorian ladies. The double-ended bottles were made to contain perfume in one end and smelling salts in the other. One end has the flip-type lid and the other has a screw-on lid. This bottle still has one glass stopper which is rare to find. The scent bottle is in excellent condition and is a deep, ruby color. The glass portion has no chips or cracks. The silver tops have a few small, shallow dents. |
