Lovely sterling silver baby teether and whistle. It has mother-of-pearl set in sterling silver. It is 3-7/8 inches long and approximately 2 inches across at the rattles. The repousse and engraving are very good - it is done by hand, not stamped. The condition of the item is good. There are no chips, scratches, etc. on the mother-of-pearl. There is a small indentation in the silver on either side of the mouthpiece for the whistle. It is a very pretty piece. This item was part of a private collection, and, based on information provided to us by the previous owner is turn of the century. |
