This painting by Carl Hoppe is an oil on board. It is entitled " something Flowers" The painting is signed on the front, lower right corner and the back with the name of the painting and "by C. Hoppe." The canvas (or board) size is 8 x 10 inches. Framed it measures 12 x 14 inches. The painting is in very good condition. The gilt-wood frame is in good condition except for the lower left corner which has some damage. Mr. Hoppe lived from 1897 - 1981. He was born and lived in San Antonio, Texas. Hoppe studied with Jose Arpa, Joyce Organ and Bess K. Pyle. |
