This exceptional desk is 64 inches wide; 28-1/2 inches deep and 31 inches tall at the back. The front half of the desk top slants slightly to form a good writing surface. It has excellent craftsmanship - beautifully carved; pegged on desk top; champfered interior. Split raised panels in front; curved and bevelled on the base; original hardware. Left side thumb lock missing. Scalloped edges on shelves and partitions in the storage sections. It is a very functional piece in excellent condition. Circa 1900 |
