This beautiful settee has a matching armchair which is item number ga5435. This is one of the best parlor sets we have handled. These pieces are comfortable and functional, unlike some Victorian parlor sets. Circa 1870 - 1890. The settee is in excellent condition. It has been re-upholstered with appropriate tapestry-like fabric. The detail in the upholstery is exceptional with deep tufting, double cording and small pleats or tucks along the front of the seat. Dimensions: 58 inches wide; 43 inches tall to top of center finial; seat is 21-3/4 inches deep (21 inches deep in center). This lovely settee has pierced work on back and top sections. |
